I know its a SFM Mod, but why can't I play it?
Why can't I play certain Call of Duty online servers?
ignor the question above if someone has the same product key as u then u wuldnt be able to install the game. everyone has different product keys. ur problem is. is your firewall. and if its not that then its your modems firewall.. u may need to fiddle with your modem.
Reply:You can't play in some servers probably because you have the same product key as someone in the server. I don't know much about Call of Duty, but i do play halo (and in halo you can't play in a server if someone in the server has your product key).

Please help with this physics problem! please!?
You are conducting an experiment inside a train car that may move horizontally along rail tracks. A load is hung from the ceiling on a string. The load is not swinging, and the string is observed to make a constant angle of 45 degrees with the horizontal. No other forces are acting on the load. which of the following statements are correct?
A.The train is an inertial frame of reference.
B.The train is not an inertial frame of reference.
C.The train may be at rest.
D.The train may be moving at a constant speed in a straight line.
E.The train may be moving at a constant speed in a circle.
F.The train must be speeding up.
G.The train must be slowing down.
H.The train must be accelerating.
Please help with this physics problem! please!?
B, C(instantaneously), E(if the track is curved), H are true.
All the others are false.
But why? I'll swat a couple of them for you. In an inertial frame, Newton's laws hold, so F=ma. However, in the train's reference frame, the load had unbalanced forces from gravity and string tension but is not accelerated relative to the train. F=ma does not hold, so the frame is not inertial. This decides A, B, and H.
Three in one blow! Not quite The Brave Little Tailor, but I'll take it...

Question 3 is is incorrect verb form. Ask should be asked.
Reply:1. d - "whomever" should be "whoever", because it's a subjective use.
2. a - there should be a period after "everyone", although I would prefer to insert the word "but" to make it a compound sentence.
3. d - it should be "has asked"
4. a - "everyone" is singular, but "their" is plural. It should be "his or her" (if the class is mixed). However, "their" has become the common way of expressing this in everyday conversation.
5. a - "starting" is a gerund, "to start" is an infinitive. I would change the infinitive to the gerund form of the verb.

Are they in cahoot with Courier companies, or are the companies also being used just like MICROSOFT e.t.c.?
I e-mailed a courier company which was claimed to be the fiduciary agent responsible for remitting a purported lottery winning. The colourful reply I received would have convinced me, but as God's way is beyond man's imagination, the courier contact made reference to a Coca-cola lottery winning! whereas I did not disclose the nature of the winning for which I was making my enquiry... the scammer in the original letter said it was a 'Yahoo Lottery Inc. %26amp; Windows Live' lottery! How do these scammers get hold of logos and trade marks of reputable organizations so easily? Why do these organizasions allow their secured documents to be so suseptible?
Are they in cahoot with Courier companies, or are the companies also being used just like MICROSOFT e.t.c.?
Well there is no point that these documents are secured. The scammers just use the logos of these companies which are available all around and create a "business" looking template.
Do you know how Coca Cola's or Microsoft's documents look like ?
They just are a step ahead of your imagination.
Reply:what - you never right clicked on a picture on a web page then...

When I try to change a Static int value it gets an error saying it's undefined from Dev-C++?
Yep, you must initialize it. If you don't initialize it, it first complains because it doesn't know how to increment the variable. Then it will complain when it hits the decrement operator. Since this is a class and those statements would be called as the constructor and destructor are called, this will be called as well. You can create a static without initialization in most cases, but leaving it blank here makes it undefined behavior if the compiler trys to increment or decrement it.

when I try to use the class as a varible like this
A AClass;
it get an error like this twice
(linker error) undefined reference to i
When I try to change a Static int value it gets an error saying it's undefined from Dev-C++?
Yep, you must initialize it. If you don't initialize it, it first complains because it doesn't know how to increment the variable. Then it will complain when it hits the decrement operator. Since this is a class and those statements would be called as the constructor and destructor are called, this will be called as well. You can create a static without initialization in most cases, but leaving it blank here makes it undefined behavior if the compiler trys to increment or decrement it.

If hardcore Christian conservatives think a book like harry potter is wrong (b/c of witchcraft), do they also?
think books that have any reference to murder, adultery, stealing, etc. are wrong?
If hardcore Christian conservatives think a book like harry potter is wrong (b/c of witchcraft), do they also?
Only books that portray or allow such activities -- books that punish witchcraft would not be considered wrong -- only those that showed magic use as being acceptable.
For the same reason, books and movies that showed violence or murder or adultery as being acceptable should be equally banned -- while those which showed such people being punished should be praised.
Of course -- that's working logically -- the hatred against other mystic religions and beliefs has little to do with logic, and much more to do with control, fear and bigotry.

I can't get this program to work. What am i doing wrong .C++?
Write a funtion that uses a Rectange structure reference variable as its parameter and stores the user's input
in the structure's members.
#include %26lt;iostream%26gt;
#include %26lt;iomanip%26gt;
#include %26lt;string%26gt;
using namespace std;
struct Rectangle
{
int lenght;
int width;
};
void gettangle(Rectangle%26amp;);
int main()
{
Rectangle len;
gettangle (len);
return 0;
}
void gettangle(Rectangle %26amp;value)
{
cout %26lt;%26lt; "Enter Lenght:";
cin %26gt;%26gt; value.lenght;
cout %26lt;%26lt; "Enter Width:";
cin %26gt;%26gt; value.width;
}
void gettangle(Rectangle value)
{
cout %26lt;%26lt; value.lenght %26lt;%26lt; ":" %26lt;%26lt;value.width%26lt;%26lt; ":"%26lt;%26lt;endl;
}
I can't get this program to work. What am i doing wrong .C++?
Man, you're code is pretty hashed up. I don't know what you're trying to do in some of it.
First off, I see two Functions both with void type that operate on a given Rectangle's members (length, width). Both of which are named gettangle().
One of these functions takes the variable name, and the other takes the variable address. You only have one prototype above main. You have
void gettangle(Rectangle%26amp;);
you will also need one that takes a rectangle object (leave off the ampersand)
Second to that, your first function prototype is wrong and if you build your second prototype that you need the same way, it will be wrong too. You need to add in the variable name. You should have two prototypes and they will look like this.
void gettangle(Rectangle %26amp;value);
and
void gettangle(Rectangle value);
Now you're prototypes are right, let's move down to your functions. The first function you have is taking an address. Inside the function, to access the members of the rectangle object, you can't use the dot operator. Right now you're code looks like this "cin %26gt;%26gt; value.lenght;" It needs to look like this "cin %26gt;%26gt; value-%26gt;lenght;" Do you see the difference. You'll need a hyphen and the right arrow character to access the object members length and width.
That should do it for your functions.
Your main however is only going to run the program and it is going to run your second function running this code."{
cout %26lt;%26lt; value.lenght %26lt;%26lt; ":" %26lt;%26lt;value.width%26lt;%26lt; ":"%26lt;%26lt;endl;
}"
You're going to get output, but your rectangle variables haven't been set. You need to add the code "gettangle(%26amp;len);" in your main for it to ask you for the inputs before it outputs them. I think that's it. Make those changes and post if you're still not running.
BTW, the person above addressed that the compiler couldn't tell which function to use. That is correct, however if you have two prototypes up there, one that looks like this
gettangle(Rectangle%26amp; value);
(A note on the line of code above, I am not sitting at a compiler right now, so I can't check to see, but I'm not sure that that is where the ampersand goes to let the compiler know that it will be using an address. It may go just before the name like this %26amp;Rectangle, or it could go somewhere else. I just don't remember. So that may mess you up. Looking it up should be easy if you have a book or soemthign though.)
and another that looks like this
gettangle(Rectangle value);
it will be able to tell the difference just by whether you're passing in a object or an address. There isn't a need to rename the function however I would just because it's a good habit not to use the same function name for multiple operations, especially operations that have nothing to do with each other.
Reply:Generally if you provide the error message, it helps.
I think the problem here is that you have these two functions:
void gettangle(Rectangle %26amp;value);
void gettangle(Rectangle value);
Because both take a Rectangle, the C++ compiler can't tell which to use. You should rename the 2nd one to puttangle or similar (or change the function signature).
Reply:why r u having two gettangle function??
the program is already correct. if the problem is u not getting the output(cout%26lt;%26lt;value...)because u got 2 gettangle fuction.
ps:use system("pause"); in main fuction to see output :P
in the structure's members.
#include %26lt;iostream%26gt;
#include %26lt;iomanip%26gt;
#include %26lt;string%26gt;

struct Rectangle
{
int lenght;

Tell me how to forward a port for utorrent. i hav seimens c-2110 modem n i m using data one broadband conn.?
i cant find any information abt my modem in www.portforward.com, so plz do not give me reference for this site. plz help me out............
Tell me how to forward a port for utorrent. i hav seimens c-2110 modem n i m using data one broadband conn.?
Port forwarding does not happen on the modem.
Port forwarding happens on the router.
Here is what happens:
1. You assign a specific LAN PC (or other lan device) a static LAN IP address consistant with the LAN subnet. You also make sure that IP is no longer able to be assigned out by the router under DHCP. Let's say your LAN subnet is 192.168.1.0/24; router %26amp; default gateway is 192.168.1.1, subnet 255.255.255.0; DHCP range is 192.168.1.150 - 192.168.1.255; and 192.168.1.2 is reserved for the specific LAN PC.
2. You reserve a router port (let's say port # xyz) for IP 192.168.1.2 in the router; it is defined as a TCP or UDP per the Utorrent directions you have. I suspect Utorrent also has a port # it wants you to use.
Now for specifics (using the assumptions I have above). Use a wired connection not wireless to configure the router.
1. Go to the router's LAN configurations. (Internet explorer - type in the default gateway 192.168.1.1 in address, log onto router) Change LAN DHCP to the range specified above. Reboot all LAN PCS.
2. Go to the pc you wish to use for Utorrent. Change its LAN IP to a static IP, 192.168.1.2, subnet 255.255.255.0, default gateway 192.168.1.1, DNS 192.168.1.1 (this is done in My network connections, right click on the LAN connection, select properties, highlight Internet Connections (TCP/IP), click on properties button; save and exit back to desk top.
3. Go back into the router configuration. Look for port forwarding section (probably in WAN config area or a subset of WAN config or in Security. It depends on the router and you did not disclose that info. Follow the port forward prompts, where you enter the port #, xyz, select UDP or TCP, and enter the ip address of the pc, 192.168.1.2. and you are done.
Now if your modem is a router / modem combination, it may not support port forwarding. Check with your ISP. If that is the case, you will need a router and need to change some configurations. It can be done but that is way too much to try to cover here.

How to retrieve the length and width info of the form in C# Window app?
I am trying to draw a graphic on a window form using the data the user entered. In order that the graphic does not go beyond the border of the form, I need to know the length and width of the form. So I use something like 'private int By = frmGraphics.ActiveForm.Size.Height - 50;'. It runs fine, except that the 'frmGraphics.ActiveForm.Size.Height' is ignored. If I run in debug mode, I got the following error msg at that line.
"An unhandled exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in system.windows.forms.dll
Additional information: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
Any idea? what is going on for that? Thanks
How to retrieve the length and width info of the form in C# Window app?
i'm not sure why or what is the error exactly,
but why don't u try to retrieve the hight or width using the get functions:
int width = this.getWidth();
int hight = this.gethight();
i think this would do the job, and u'd be able to retrieve the data u want.
good luck ;)
Reply:Try the "web developer" extension for firefox. It has a feature that lets you draw a box on the web page and view the position and dimensions. I just loaded this into my browser, and it contains tons of useful features for the developer designing/programming web sites.

Yahoo! Answers Meetup!? Atheists vs. theists debate in the Washington D.C. area!?
http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-d8pH0dcoR...
Would that be fun, or what!? And it's only 15 MINUTES FROM MY WORK!
I don't know if I'm actually going, but it would be fun to put a face to some avatars. :) And no, I wouldn't actually debate. :P It would all be the same old **** anyway, only without the ability to reference BibleGateway.com or Wikipedia. I wonder who's actually personable in "real life." I know I am. *wink*
Since this HAS to be a question according to CG:
R%26amp;S members? Free food and drinks at an upscale restaurant? Would this be fun or what? :)
Yahoo! Answers Meetup!? Atheists vs. theists debate in the Washington D.C. area!?
little far for me funny-but it would be a cool time---enjoy the day
Reply:Hmm.. I could potentially go, although it is definitely a bit farther than 15 minutes away from me.. hehe. I'm in Columbus, Ohio.
Reply:I'm 3,000 miles away. I'll have to experience it vicariously.
Reply:I'm something like 16800km away (a bit over ten thousand miles for those of you still living in the dark ages). So I might not make it.
Reply:i sure wish I could go. I'd love to debate on evolution and why we speak so many different languages and why christianity is the only true religion and why global warming is garbage.... man I could debate it all.
Reply:Would be neat to meet a few of you, but I am not really up for debate...what's the point.
DC isn't exactly close to me either.
Reply:Interesting. I would go. Though I'd miss my costume that my avatar has.
In public I'm rather shy and a little introverted so you'd probably not recognize me. :(
Reply:Wow, that's amazing! To bad it's a million miles away.
Reply:I'm close enough to DC to go - I can drive there in six hours, but my job takes precedence.
Reply:Its about seven hours away, and I have no car.
But, i think if someone turned it into us ganging up on Y!A about the ..'report' issues - heck, ill walk.... and bring the tamatoes
Reply:No offense, but that would take all of the FUN out it ...!!!!
No thanks, sweet cheeks ...

Reply:I will watch from the safety of the UK.
Reply:Well, the location would be alright (I live in the DC Metro area), but I'd be more inclined to attend if it was more family-oriented, so we could bring along our SO's and kids.
I think it would be more interesting to arrange, say, a day at the Natural History Museum on the Mall; and let the creationists try to explain away a building's worth of evidence in support of evolution...
Reply:If they had it in Detroit, I'd be there.
But D.C. is a lot more that 15 minutes from where I am so I'll have to pass.
Talk to Skalite, he's a D.C. boy.
EDIT: If we R%26amp;S regulars were to throw our own party, it would be so much better anyway. But I'm putting down my foot here and now and saying no strippers. Sorry, guys.
Reply:Why bother? It seems both sides want to be know-it-alls and Christians are not to debate anyone about their beliefs. Romans 1:29-32, Romans Chapter 2: 1-5, Psalm 2, Colossians 2:8. True Science is another issue and does compliment the Bible belief system.
Reply:Yeah, but I live 1000 miles away...
Reply:I’m bringing tomatoes. I can’t wait to meet the people at Yahoo who deleted all those questions.
Reply:I'd prolly get booted from that, too.
Reply:I think the Yahoo meet-and-greet is a joke... and there's room to seat only 50 people? (and half will be Yahoo personnel) haha
.. and I'm in New York (driving distance)

Can someone list out things to do to start a 501 (c) (3) Charity organization in New Jersey?
I want to start a charity benefiting poor kids with heart problems some of friends who are heart surgeons %26amp; specialists have agreed to help out but need to find ASAP how to start a tax exempt charity in NJ so that we can collect money for the kids. Any reference or link would be appreciated. Thanks
Can someone list out things to do to start a 501 (c) (3) Charity organization in New Jersey?
While the first answer is a good general one, here are some additional pointers.
Contact the Secretary of State to obtain the forms needed and either a copy of the non-profit incorporation law or a reference number to it in a law reference.
The NJ SoS is here
http://www.state.nj.us/njbgs/index.html
I say this because in Texas (where I am and have set up a couple of these), the incorporation law specifies exactly (EXACTLY) what needs to be said in the incorporation papers - no lawyer needs to be inventive. Secondly, in Texas a corporation must have 3 offices - president, secretary and treasurer and a person can be both pres and sec.
As soon as you apply for incorporation, you are non-profit - but you have to apply for your tax exemption from the feds
Get the application for 501(c)(3) status and read it from cover to cover. IRS Form 1023. It has gotten a lot more complicated to fill out in recent years (and more expensive to apply.)
http://www.irs.gov/charities/article/0,,...
It really helps if you have someone who has been through this before in your state. And if a lawyer says they will volunteer to help, question them about experience in the field. A creative lawyer can really screw things up.
The by-laws state what you are going to do and how you intend to do it.
But if you look at the 1023, it almost requires that you have a business plan. The IRS wants to know where you intend to get your money, how you intend to spend it and a lot about the officers and whether they will be paid and/or get money for doing things for the organization. It is a lot cleaner if all of the board and the officers are at arms length from the operations of the organization - no salary, no loans, no services provided for compensation. The board should be willing and able to donate time and money to the organization and bring in others who will also.
If at all possible, do everything corporate wise before taking in any money or spending any. Making out the 1023 is possible after a year or more of operations, but it is a lot messier.
Find out what non-profit support organizations exist to offer suggestions and guidelines. This one in Dallas may help you http://www.cnmdallas.org/ or suggest someone closer to you.

"here's how to form a nonprofit corporation and receive a 501(c)(3) tax exemption.
Forming a nonprofit corporation is much like creating a regular corporation, except that nonprofits have to take the extra steps of applying for tax-exempt status with the IRS and their state tax division. Here is what you need to do:
1. Choose an available business name that meets the requirements of state law.
2. File formal paperwork, usually called "articles of incorporation," and pay a small filing fee (typically under $100).
3. Apply for your federal and state tax exemptions.
4. Create corporate "bylaws," which set out the operating rules for your nonprofit corporation.
5. Appoint the initial directors. (In some states you must choose your initial directors before you file your articles, because you must list their names in the document.)
6. Hold the first meeting of the board of directors.
7. Obtain licenses and permits that may be required for your corporation. "

Is it a bad thing for resigning from a job b/c of no pay raise or bonus after working there over a year?
I just had an interview but didn't tell the interviewer I gave a 2 week notice at my present job! He told me he wouldn't call my present job as a reference unless he was planning on hiring me. Well he called and my supervisor told him i was resigning! He called me to ask what the reason for resigning was and I told him I have not gotten a raise after a year and a half and was the only one who didn't get a bonus, so I decided resign
Is it a bad thing for resigning from a job b/c of no pay raise or bonus after working there over a year?
You should have told the guy you interviewed with. This way, it looks like you were trying to hide something; and there's nothing wrong with leaving a job because it has no promise.
Reply:You really might have.
While that is a reasonable reason to leave. When you are at a job interview it is not your shrinks couch. That is not the time to be open and honest. That is the time to sell your self.
You when in doubt say "I feel I have learned all I can here." "I am ready to take the next step in my career."
bad things to say "They didn't give me a raise" "They didn't give me enough vacation days." "People kept waking me up from my naps."
Reply:Whom did you tell your reason for quitting? Your supervisor or the interviewer? If you told your supervisor, all is OK. As stated above, you should always have a new job lined up before you leave the old one. And if you actually are lucky enough to work at a job where people care why you're leaving, it's a perfect oppportunity to tell them what they are doing wrong.
BUT-- if you told the interviewer you left because of raises and bonuses, you also just told him you will be skipping out of this job too unless you get a raise and bonus, even if they don't give them very often or feel you don't deserve one. And it is very, very fishy that you were the only one not to get a bonus. The interviewer will now ask your current supervisor about that and get an explanation that probably doesn't flatter you. So if you told that to the interviewer, you probably aren't getting this job. And now your boss knows you're leaving your current one. Oops.
Reply:You are screwed. Never let your new job contact your old job period. Now the dumbass(the one who screwed you) at the new job doesn't have to hire you either. Now it looks like you are job hopping for a raise and your new job to be knows that. And never ever resign until you have a firm offer in writing.
Allways play your cards close. Never let anyone see your hand. Then play the cards to your advantage not theirs. Better luck next time.
Reply:I think you needed a better reason to resign, personally. You couldn't wait more than a year and a half for a raise? If you were being wrongly treated I'd understand and you'd have a basis for quitting, but this? so, what if this other company doesn't give you a raise or bonus, or the next company after?
How much you wanna bet this next company doesn't hire you?
edit: I do agree with David S, it's smart (and expected) to have another job lined up when you put in your two-weeks, it's the reasoning that's killing me. I suppose it depends on the type of job and how advancement is usually handled there. Forgive me for sounding kind of smart-alecy back there.
Reply:I agree you probably should have let them know before they called your previous place of employment. However I don't know that it'll make a big difference.
Reply:If I were the potential employer, here’s what I’d be wondering:
If the normal policy for the company is to give yearly reviews/raises (and that’s not the case with some companies), then why didn’t you get a raise? Had you been performing up to expectations, you should have gotten one.
Why were you the only one who didn’t get a bonus? Again, if you were performing up to expectations, you should have received a bonus along with everyone else.
Honestly, I’d be leery of hiring you at this point.
You might want to re-think the reason/wording of the reason that you give potential employers for quitting.
Reply:No. It is a smart thing to have something better lined up before you quit.
Your employer is concerned with the bottom line. It is no crime for you to be concerned about your level of compensation.

Relativity, time dilation looking intio the past for less than c phenomena?
Since the ~30 years from my birth sound waves (from my first movements and cries) have travelled 325,346,400km - or about 1000 light seconds.
Light from me (my light cone) has travelled 30 light years.
Now I believe that from my frame of reference, the light has not experienced the passing of time - is that right? - but the sound has (as time slows down as one approaches light speed.
Anyway, just as light reaching us from stars light years away tells us about what has happened in the past, if we could reverse the light from my birth, in it's direction (say by a hypothetical but improbable mirror), in 30 years time we would see the event over again - and be looking back 30 years into the past.
But with the sound, if we could encode it's information into light wavicles, we would be looking only 1000 seconds into the past - or so it would seem.
It this apparent oddity explained by the faster rate at which time passed for the sound (ie. less time dilation)
Relativity, time dilation looking intio the past for less than c phenomena?
From our frame of reference (being on earth) the light has traveled 30 light years. Sound on the other hand can not travel past the earth since it needs a medium to pass through like the earths atmosphere.
If you were to get in a space ship that could approach the speed of light for the past 30 years trying to keep up with the light waves then, yes there would be time dilation between the earth and the spaceship. From the spaceships frame of reference the earth would appear to be moving slower where as from the earths frame of reference the people on the ship would appear to be moving slower. If the ship were to stop turn around and come back the ships clocks would lag behind the earths clocks.
Reply:You have a poor understanding of how sound travels, you are correct about light not being influenced by time. You always look into the past, reflections from a mirror are changed in this respect. Everything is a jumble of nonsense.
Reply:???
I'm not really sure what you're asking. But if you encoded sound onto the light, you'd have 30 years of sound encoded onto 30 years of light which would then 'play back' over the course of the next 30 years.

A small lump of ice (a hailstone) at falls 0°C to the Earth’s surface. When the hailstone hits?
the surface, all of the kinetic energy of the hailstone is transferred to thermal energy in the
ice. Calculate the minimum speed of the hailstone so that it just melts when it hits the
surface. The specific latent heat of fusion of ice is 340kJ kg−1 (power)
2) By reference to your answer in (a), suggest whether hailstones are likely to melt on hitting
the Earth’s surface.
A small lump of ice (a hailstone) at falls 0°C to the Earth’s surface. When the hailstone hits?
thermal energy needed for the melting = 340kJ kg-1 * mass of ice
kinetic energy provides all the thermal energy, so
0.5 * mass of ice * velocity of ice^2 = 340000 * mass of ice
velocity of ice ^2 =680000
velocity of ice = 825 m s-1
Hope it's correct. Haha..
Question 2.
Perhaps not. because there will be some energy transfered to sound energy, etc..

Is Barack Obama: A. Black Separatist; B. Black Nationalist; and/or C. Africentric? Any, all or none of these?
The church that Barack Obama has attended since 1991 is the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Their website at www.tucc.org states in the "About Us" section:
"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community."

I think the mistake you are making is assuming that Obama is really religious and not just donning the moniker of Christian because you have to be to get elected in our supposedly free country. I have the impression that Obama is not overly religious. Which is one of the reasons I feel better about voting for him.

Flight test requierment after maintenance& or repair on A/c weighing upto 5700 kg on both single &twin engine?
with reference.
Flight test requierment after maintenance%26amp; or repair on A/c weighing upto 5700 kg on both single %26amp;twin engine?
That would depend on what country you're in, and what their regulations state.
For the United States, FAR Part 91.407 states (in part):
"(b) No person may carry any person (other than crewmembers) in an aircraft that has been maintained, rebuilt, or altered in a manner that may have appreciably changed its flight characteristics or substantially affected its operation in flight until an appropriately rated pilot with at least a private pilot certificate flies the aircraft, makes an operational check of the maintenance performed or alteration made, and logs the flight in the aircraft records.
(c) The aircraft does not have to be flown as required by paragraph (b) of this section if, prior to flight, ground tests, inspection, or both show conclusively that the maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding, or alteration has not appreciably changed the flight characteristics or substantially affected the flight operation of the aircraft."
There is no difference between singles or twins in this requirement.
Reply:After maintenance or repair any pilot rated in the aircraft can flight test the aircraft and sign the logbook to return it to service. I have done it several times for minor repairs, but when the engine was overhauled, I left that to the mechanic who worked on it.

Help physics...Defined as the continuous change in the position with respect to a certain reference point?
Here the choices..
a. Static
b. Kinematics
c. Mechanics
d. Motion
Help physics...Defined as the continuous change in the position with respect to a certain reference point?
I'd say D - motion.
Reply:its (d) motion or rather i would like to call it velocity which is the rate of change of position of a particle with time with respect to a fixed refrence point.

If my potential employer contacts my current employer for verification of emp.,can the c.employer badmouth me?
I have been working in my present job for three months but am moving and applying to another job. I am afriad that my potential employer will want to contact my current employer to ask her about me. I do a good job at work but I fear my current employer will be mad I'm leaving so early and that this would prompt her to say bad things. I have to let them contact her or else it raises a red-flag for my potential employer. My references are strong. My current employer is not listed as a reference since I've only worked for three months. Any suggestions on what I should do? I appreciate your help!
If my potential employer contacts my current employer for verification of emp.,can the c.employer badmouth me?
Most perspective employers won't contact your current employer until an employment offer has been accepted by you. Unless you give your current supervisor as a reference, they ususally won't talk to that person directly but to the HR department. HR departments generally only confirm date of hire, title and sometimes salary.
I would find out what the policy is at your current job regarding verification of employment. If they only verify employment - you are in good shape.
Some prospective employers will ask if you are eligible for re-hire. Find out how your HR department handles this question. It may be the only red-flag, but if your prospective employer knows you've only been on the current job for 3 months, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Reply:The Ex-Employer is not supposed to bad-mouth you and legally they can't. I have witnessed it happen though.
Reply:Legally, they aren't supposed to, but sometimes, they do it anyway. I work in an HR environment where I do a lot of employment verifications. The vast majority of employers I contact will only verify dates, position, and salary. Although I am not allowed to ask, I occasionally talk to an employer (usually a small business owner) who ends up volunteering information about the person's performance, attendance, etc.
If you don't trust your current employer, have a friend pose as a potential employer who is trying to do a reference. If they volunteer information to your friend, they will almost definitely volunteer information to a real employment prospect.
Reply:The only comment that an employer can make is if you were employed, how long you were employed and if you would or would not be rehired by that employer.
It is always safer and smarter to give your present job as a reference, because if you don't; it will appear that you are either lying or trying to cover up something that the new employer needs to know.
Many employers today have legal access to credit records, and previous or current employment records so you may as well be honest and up front.
Good luck, I hope you find the perfect new employment for you.
Reply:Legally, no.
Reply:As Tim said, leagaly no, but really, they will if they can get away with it. Nobody is going to rat on them. I always get a written letter of recomendation then leave and don't have the prospect call your current boss.
Reply:no, but he can answer the question "would you re-hire Billy?". that generally tells the potential employer how well you are doing.
Reply:The only thing a current employer can do is verify your length and dates of employment and state if they would rehire you. There can be no specifics or badmouthing or it is illegal.
Reply:no that is against the law all they can say is rather they would rehire you or not
Reply:Legally, all that she can confirm is how long you've been employed by her and your salary. Anything else would be grounds for legal action on your part. It shouldn't count against you with your potential employer if you don't want your current employer to be contacted - that's par for the course. Good luck!

Reply:Erm.. I would suggest u to go to the NLB or any library nearest to ur home. And why would u want to strain ur eyes just simply because to look for ur book? I would might as well go to the library and come home happily holding the borrowed book in my hands. And sitting at the sofa reading is better than to strain ur eyes and much more comfortable. If there isn't ur book there, try searching the internet for the information. (e.g. u want to read up on blue whales, search for "blue whales" in the search engine. Take my advice, don't strain ur eyes.^^
You might want to try the search engines for ur information below.I've listed some. Theres also a free online encyclopedia below.^^
Reply:I'm sorry but I guess you'll have to visit the public library near you. And why would you want to kill your eyes by staring at your computer when you can borrow the books (for free) and take your time reading them at home?
Reply:Try searching pn library catolgues on the web and if they have the required book, reserve it and then go and collect it later
Reply:From what I got on the title I think a library might be your best choice. Amazon listed two (only two) copies at a start price of $101(CDN) and, as it sounds like a rather esoteric tome, to find it in an on line library may be unlikely and in a free one next to impossible. Try using WORLDCATLIBRARIES.org to find it in one near you.

Who is superior a)apocalypse b)jaggurnaut c)hulk?
please tell me with reference to their powers.
Who is superior a)apocalypse b)jaggurnaut c)hulk?
Hulk is definitely stronger than the Juggernaut. His strength increases exponentially to his emotional level - the Gem of Cytorrak has a limit on the strength it gives to Cain Marko, however high.
However, Apocalypse is definitely much more powerful than either of the two. Since he's one of the world's oldest mutants, and one of the most powerful since he's lived for so long. Wikipedia posts the following about Apocalypse's powers: "Apocalypse is one of the most powerful beings on Earth. Apocalypse can alter the molecular structure of his body at will in order to change his form. After exposure to Ship(Celestial technology left behind on earth by a race of space gods) this ability may have been further enhanced. He can alter his appearance or the size of his body; he can, for example, transform his arms and fists into various melee weapons and grant himself superhuman strength and grow to nearly any size he wishes. He also can generate energy, thanks to a combination of his mutant power and the Celestial technology in his body. He has also demonstrated advanced telekinesis, telepathy, create force fields, project bursts of concussive force, and can augment himself further by drawing on various outside energy sources. Apocalypse also demonstrated the ability to teleport himself and other beings. Aside from his superhuman powers, Apocalypse is also extraordinarily intelligent, a genius with knowledge of science and technology centuries ahead of conventional science. This was not merely a result of his exposure to alien technology, as he was able to make significant new advances beyond the alien materials to which he was exposed."
With all that and immortality to boot, who alone can stand up to him? It took the entire X-men to stop him before!
Reply:I've got to agree with Iceman on this one. The Hulk is certainly very strong, but Apocalypse was deservingly worshipped as a god.
For all the Juggernaut's immense power, you've picked two of the few characters in the Marvel U who outclass him.
Reply:The Hulk battled Juggernaut and won. So he's stronger than Juggernaut. But Apocalypse made him one of his Horsemen so Apocalyse is stronger than the Hulk.
Reply:hulk.Never heard the other two names!

How do I link a file in dev c?
I am trying to get a program working that uses sockets. I have included winsock2.h, and everything compiles fine. However, I am getting linker errors "undefined reference to...". After googling, it would appear that this is caused by a dll not being linked, and so I assume I should link the ws2_32.dll. I do not know how to do this. Please help me :)
How do I link a file in dev c?
How to link: Generally, for all the functions available in the mingw header files, the mingw package provides libraries with the function definitions; not all available libraries are automatically linked, because not all functions are standard C/C++; you just have to link them to your project when you need them.
The library files are called "libname.a" and are located in the Dev-Cpp\lib folder; the easiest way to link them is to add -lname (note: no "lib" and no ".a", and that's a small L not a capital i) to the linker parameters in your project, that is Project Options - Parameters - Linker
You can also use the Add Library or Object button in that window, and that's ok for object files, but for libraries you may run into problems when you move things to other folders or to another computer.
If you use external libraries (i.e. not included in mingw), then you should either put them in the Dev-Cpp\lib folder, or add the folder which contains the libraries to the list of library dirs, in Project Options - Directories - Library Directories.
You may still have problems if the libraries you link were compiled with an old version of gcc (and definitely if they were compiled with another compiler). Try to get libraries that match your compiler, or recompile them if you have the source code.
Finding libraries: Which library do you need to link? Usually, the library name is similar to the name of the header file that declares the functions, e.g. wingdi.h -%26gt; libgdi32.a, winsock2.h -%26gt; libws2_32.a; if you can't find it then just do a file search using Windows Explorer (search for library files (lib*.a) containing the function name).

doesn't jibe with:
int meanCalc (int (array)[25], int count)
first takes two ints as input, second takes array of ints and an int. you need to reconcile that. i would modify this int meanCalc(int,int); accordingly.

Exception when I run a program developed with C# .net 2.0?
I used visual studio 2005 to developed an application. it was working well. recenty i used "Computerinfo" class of "Microsoft.VisualBasic.Devices" namespace. for which I had to add a visual basic dll as reference. But my problem is when I run the program from Visual Studio 2005 IDE It works fine. but after publishing It throws an exception with 'detail', 'quit' and 'continue' button.

Exception when I run a program developed with C# .net 2.0?
I recall reading somewhere that not all of the "My" objects available to VB function properly in C#. Since most of the objects provided through the "My" keyword are available to C# through other means, it's probably better in the long run to spend a little more time to write the code for that directly. You didn't say exactly what property you were trying to access when the exception occurred, but from what I can see that's available through the ComputerInfo class you'll probably have to resort to pinvoke to get most of that info.

Who is superior a)apocalypse b)jaggurnaut c)hulk?
please tell me with reference to their powers.
Who is superior a)apocalypse b)jaggurnaut c)hulk?
Apocalypse has the power to alter his body thus gaining any physical power he wants, Juggernaut picked up a ruby and gained the powers of a god and is now pretty much indestructable and the Hulk the madder he gets the stronger he gets.
Im going to go for juggernaut for a few reasons first off Apocalypse looks like a bargain bucket version of any of the clowns you see down at the circus secondly Juggernaut is way cooler and has the power of a god (well in the comic I remember he did).
Reply:Apocalypse would be at the top of the power scale among those three....

i am getting a reference to a variable in my fucntion

Can u suggest an efficent way of doing this. Also I am not sure of the scope of ABC. Please adive

Reply:can u make your question a little clearer please
Reply:It depends on what you mean by list. The most straightforward list is an array, but I’m assuming you want an expandable list? In which case std::vectors would be useful. But that’s just an arbitrary list of pointers. Does each pointer have any significance to it? Do you attach a name or arbitrary number to each pointer? Then you’ll want a std::map.
Might be useful: http://cppreference.com/
One more thing. Is there a reason you pass a reference to your object as opposed to a constant pointer to it?

How can i find out if a past employer is giving a bad reference?
i know they aren't supposed to - but in reading some applications and when you sign them it gives them the right to treat past employers as a personal refernce. my most recent past employer says (we went to court with unemployment over this) that i abdandoned my job and i didn't - i was fired due to absense from a medical condition.
OTHER THAN CALLING THEM AND POSING AS A POTIENTAL EMPLOYER - what can i do to find out?
the main reason i'm asking - is b/c i can't get work. this has been going on since january and is getting harder on me and my family - both money-wise and as a family unit. mcdonald's even turned me down and it seems like the ones here hire anybody.
please only reply if you have the answer - no posting just for points.
How can i find out if a past employer is giving a bad reference?
Why don't you call, or have a friend call and ask.
Reply:Unless you were with your past employer for over 2 years, I wouldn't even put them on my application.
Reply:Well sorry not to give you a different answer, but the only way to figure this out is to pose as a potential employer (or have someone you know do it) and call them for a "reference check." Also, I think it's illegal (slander or something) for your past employer to lie about your reason for leaving or being fired. I'm sure you could take them to court on it. Good luck.
Reply:I would like to know also. I have a past employer who did the same thing! THAT WAS SO UNFAIR. The best thing that helped me through this, was to not "include" them on my application.
Reply:You should have someone that you know and that can sound
like they are professional business HR directors call and ask
about your work references.
I once heard that there are companies where they will do a background or work record check for people in your situation. I do
not know what they are called .
If all else fails , you can contact your lawyer and get advice on how to proceed from here . Good Luck
Reply:stop using them %26amp; see what happens.......then you'll know

Reply:If you were at your job a very short period of time, don't list them. If you are applying for something that doesn't really care about how much experience you have, like McDonald's only list employers that will give you a good reference. For gaps in employment you can put down "personal reasons" and leave it at that. (might be asked to elaborate during an interview but then you can say you were sick alot that year or out of town with a sick relative, etc).
It could be that your employer isnt giving you a bad reference, it could be a dry spell in your area as well where no one is hiring. Places like McDonald's might have looked at your application and thought you were "too experienced" (yes there is such a thing).
Usually the references aren't called til after you interview not before. So if you aren't getting any interviews its for other reasons besides the bad employer experience. If you are getting interviews but no call backs, then a bad employer might be to blame.
Reply:go to www.jobreferencecheck.com. They will do a very good background check for you posing as potential employers.
Reply:Is there anything you did even part time during your time with that employer so that you could just fill in that gap with something like "self-employed, part-time"?
The problem with calling or having others call for you is that employers often don't give a reference just at the spur of the moment. They'll often ask what company is calling and how they can get back in touch with you, expecting you to give them a number at a business.
I found, after I resigned from a job with an s. o. b. for a boss, that just telling my reasons for leaving was the best approach.
Reply:You could try calling them, or having a friend call them, pretending to be a place of business and do a fake reference check on yourself to find out what they say! Good luck!
Reply:hello I'm not sure how to tell but try not putting them down OK then see what u get OK
Reply:Is there anyway you could leave that particular job off your resume? If not, it's hard to find out because that information is in your file at the particular company (the results of their reference calls), so unless you have a friend who could access this information and that particular company actually made reference calls and wrote down the answers, it will probably be difficult.
Could it be something else that is preventing you from getting a job ? Something to think about - maybe revising your resume, broadening your search, etc. It took my husband several months to find a job when we re-located and we know his past references were saying good things (it helps when you are friends with your past employers).
Reply:I would ask one of the people that have not hired you, if the reason for your nonhire was the reference given by your past employer. The worst they could say is yes, and if so, then you'd know.

The atlas of World Religions is a type of which of the following reference sources?
A. General World Atlas
B. Historical Atlas
C. Subject-specific atlas
D. General Almanac
The atlas of World Religions is a type of which of the following reference sources?
It's subject-specific, so it's not a general world atlas and a "general almanac" is not an atlas at all. A subject-specific atlas might include some maps related to history but would still be considered a subject-specific atlas -- in this case, an atlas concerned with world religions.

g = pictureBox2.CreateGraphics();
g.DrawEllipse(p, e.X, e.Y, 5, 7);
in this program I can draw anything but when I want to save this drawing by the help of this command: pictureBox2.Image.Save(saveFileDialog1.F...
then an error occur : “NullReferenceExpection was unhandled !”

I need your help………can anybody solve my problem
Thanks
Problem about pictureBox in Visual Studio C Sharp.NET ?
You need to make the graphics drawn on the PictureBox to be a persistent bitmap then only you can save the image.
Use a bitmap to draw the images upon and then reflect it upon your pictureboc. When you want to save just save the bitmap.
If you want more help write to me at

How do I locate a PC's registry to enable me delete the reference of an unwanted file from it?
The file in question is 'C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe.' It pops up each time I boot my PC. I have used 'Windows Search" to trace the file without luck. Thanks for coming to my rescue.
How do I locate a PC's registry to enable me delete the reference of an unwanted file from it?
Type regedit in your run box and hit enter. Be careful what you edit tho!
And how did the rest of you learn? Theone, jim, and mark, I suppose you were all born with the knowledge, Phlip, it very well could be an svchost fake file! Some phishing malware uses this to gain access!
Reply:If you are using a Firewall (like Zone Alarm where mine indicates in Program Control) Generic Host Process for Win 32 Services – Entry Detail svchost.exe, then this should have Trusted Access – (ticks Access - Trusted and Internet, plus Server – Trusted, Internet X Not Trusted.
Reply:If you can't locate the registry what makes you think you can mess with it safely. Find someone who knows what they are doing seems to be the safest bet. If you screw up it could be a major job to put it right, if you can at all.
Reply:svchost is a major operating system service!!! Do not delete this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reply:If you are using winXP, click on start, run, and type in regedit. This will open the command prompt and allow you to edit the registry, but be careful, one little mistake can wreak havoc with your operating system. You can also search 'How to edit the registry in windows XP', which will take you to a Microsoft database. There is much out there on editing the registry.
Reply:start menu %26gt; run

hit enter
Reply:If you have to ask this question, you do not know enough to mess with the registry. You can damage your programs and nothing will pop up, even the start up. Why is it so important to get rid of that file? Surfed somewhere you should not have, huh?
Reply:start run regedit
Reply:This is a nessccary file for your computer to operate.
Never tamper with the registry!!!
Reply:svchost.exe as stated by others is a system process and should be well left alone if you want your computer to work.
If you want to clear bits out of your registry and to generally clear junk off your computer use a program called ccleaner. just google it. It's free. this will clear all your cookies and remove useless registry entries for your under the issues tab.
Advanced Uninstaller is even better if you would prefer but it does cost unless you know where to download it from elsewhere.

How dose if statement work in c program?

How dose if statement work in c program?
If you can tell me how to draw a diagram in this answer box, I'll be glad to.
It isn't hard
if is the keyword to begin the structure.
if (boolean)
statement;
statement executes if the boolean evaluates true, not if it doesn't, and execution continues with the statement afterwards in either case.

Stack as a function parameter in c++?
i'm just learning implementation with stl stacks and queues and i'm not really familiar with them yet. can you make a function that takes an stl stack or queue as a parameter??? if so whats the syntax? the function will take in the stack and push a few values and either return the stack or pass it by reference. is this possible?
Stack as a function parameter in c++?
My opinion would be that it is a normal class / object, and you should be able to pass it as a parameter.
I would be more inclined to pass it as a pointer to the stack, rather than the whole stack itself. Therefore, you would be passing be reference.
I do not think you would have to return the stack, as you could change the contents whilst in this function, and upon returning from the function the stack that you passed as reference would contain the changes made in the function.
Reply:Try google.com and put in stack function. There is an example that you might like.
