C.Jerome Hopkins was a composer in NYC during the late 1800s. He was married, but to whom and when?

In the New York Times archives from those days, all of a sudden a Mrs. C. Jerome Hopkins appears in a society page. That article was dated April 18, 1875. There are no marriage announcements, and I cannot fins any more references to her. Hopkins was born in Burlington, Vermont in 1836, a son of the Rt. Bishop John Henry Hopkins I. He left VT in 1853 to go to NY, and in 1874 had travelled to Europe to give concerts. Hopkins founded the American Academy of Music and the Orpheon Free Music School. He lived in NJ that latter part of his life, and died at his home in Athenia in 1892. That's what I know. Can anyone help me find out when he was married and to whom?

thanks

Try researching the name:

Edward Jerome Hopkins

Try contacting the American Academy of Music or the Orphen Free Music School they may have details of his biography there since he founded both.

Good Luck
