As I remember the opening was sung to the Mickey Mouse Club song. Instead of being M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E it was A-L-X-S-E-Y S-A-L-L-E. Obviously I have the spelling wrong as I can't find any reference to the show now but this is how I remember it.
In early 90's I watched a british comedy named something like The Alxsey Salle Show. Can't find reference now.
the correct spelling is Alexei Sayle - that should get you some results from a search engine
Reply:It's Alexei Sayle, and here's a YouTube list: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_qu...
Reply:Alexei Sayle Show by any chance?
Reply:Alexei Sayle was the show ..... You'll find him on DVD from HMV and other places like that. He used to do a bit of work with The Young Ones too.
Reply:It was called 'Alexei Sayle's Stuff', and they did indeed sing the theme song to the tune of the Mickey Mouse Club Song. It ended with a little girl looking at Sayle and saying to the camera 'Who is that fat b**t**d?' It was a great show. Alexei Sayle now writes darkly comic and rather good fiction, but for a while there he was a very funny performer as well. He made one of the funniest ever live comedy albums, called 'Cak!', a recording of his blisteringly obscene late 70s/early 80s stage show. I used to know the entire album by heart.
