What is it meant by "headers" pertaining to the OSI Reference Model?

Hi there, I was wondering if someone could please help me b/c I'm confused. I'm writing a paper pertaining to the OSI reference model, and one of the topics that I need to write about is headers. When writing about the 7 layers however, I never came accross anything stating headers...the only headers I was aware of was like in an e-m, and when I googled it- I kept getting something about cars or something. I'm not looking for THE answer....just what direction I need to go to look them up I guess:P Thank you so much for you help!
